Old Town Context

Our shop Old Town CONTEXT is located at 42 / 44 Cockburn Street in the historic heart of Edinburgh's medieval Old Town. Visitors will find an eclectic collection with some of our favourite items from Museum CONTEXT but with loads of new finds from exotic buying trips and a specific focus on retro and vintage design inspired home accessories, gifts, cards and quality souvenirs.

Open seven days we would be delighted if you would pay us a visit. Some highlights include a huge 1930s Marconi Spotlight and a scale model Baby Bugatti Type 35R racing car, whilst planes, propellers and paddles adorn the walls and ceiling along with oversize mirrors and industrial-style light fittings. Beatles memorabilia sit alongside exclusive Scallywag greetings cards and Flying Scotsman Flasks with Edinburgh themed artwork provided courtesy of local artist Ritchie Collins and illustrator Iain McIntosh.
